Full Description:

The error message is related to the setting for the Startup Topic not being selected to an existing file. A valid topic must be selected for the building of the output to occur. This setting is located under the Basic tab of the Target file.

Solution:

  1. Go to the Project Organizer, find and open the Targets folder.
  2. Find and select the target file to open.
  3. Double-click on the target file to open the Target Editor.
  4. Check to see that the Basic tab is selected in the Target Editor.
  5. Find the Startup Topic: text box and select the ... button next to the text box.
  6. Find a topic to use as the startup topic and click the Open button.
  7. Click the Save All button on the toolbar.
