Fixed invalid tag. Original text has been saved in a comment

Article #: IMPE1002 Product: Flare Version: 1

Summary:

The following error message of Fixed invalid tag. Original text has been saved in a comment may appear during the importing of a RoboHelp project.

Full Description:

The error message is related to the improper tagging associated with how the content is suppose to appear in RoboHelp.

Solution:

In Flare the Table of Contents, like all editable items, is created as a document. As such, when you open the table of contents it displays in the WYSIWYG editor. This article will show you how to change this to simulate the RoboHelp interface.

  1. Open the TOC page in the WYSIWYG editor. To do this go to the Project Organizer, open the TOCs folder and double click the TOC you wish to open.
  2. With your TOC open in the WYSIWYG editor go to the Window menu and select Document Dock. The document dock opens as a mini WYSIWYG editor in the left column. Since the TOC is treated as a file, this document dock can be used to contain the TOC and give it similar attributes to how you worked with the TOC tab in RoboHelp .
  3. Once you have the Document Dock open, then go to the Window menu and select Send to Other Dock.  This will place the TOC in the Document Dock in the left vertical column.
  4. Now for the final step. If you double click on a page in the TOC you will get the properties dialog for that page, but if you hold down the Control key and double click TOC items then the associated topic will open in the WYSIWYG editor similar to how you worked in RoboHelp.
