Printing topics are styled according to the CSS print medium

Summary:

Topics printed from a web-based help system will print with the style definitions from the Print medium of the project's Cascading Style Sheet.

Full Description:

Users may notice that when they print a topic from Webhelp, the printout looks different than what is on screen. This is because the printout uses the style definitions from the Print medium of the Cascading Style Sheet. For example, the CSS may call for the P class to be set to Verdana 10 point online, and Times New Roman 12 in printed outputs. When a user prints a topic they are viewing, the items styled with P will appear in Times New Roman.

Solution:

This is a feature of CSS, and the behavior is as designed. One could define styles in the "default" and "Print" mediums identically, and create a third medium to associate with printed output targets.
