Patch for Popup Window Issues (All Outputs) and .CHM Issues in Flare 3.1

 Article #: PATF3103  Product: Flare   Version: 3.1

Summary:

This now patch also incorporates the patch from KB Article PATF3102.

These files address issues with HTML Help and popup windows in all outputs in content generated with Flare 3.1.

Full Description:

In addition to the fixes described in KB Article PATF3102, this patch is intended to address two issues that arose in content using popup windows in content generated in Flare 3.1.

Flare 3.1 added the ability to customize the size of popups. However, some users observed that popups without explicit dimensions set, or autosizing popups, opened at a smaller size than in previous versions. This issue was previously patched, and that patch is incorporated into this one.

Some users observed that popup windows in HTML Help files (.CHM) generated with Flare 3.1 had a slightly different appearance, using beveled borders, than in previous releases. The vertical scrollbar also appeared on these popups, regardless of whether it was needed.

Some users observed that pressing the back button after a popup had been opened in a topic in a web browser or in a .CHM would result in the popup opening in a blank state.

All of these issues are addressed by installing the patch as instructed below.
