Central Account Element Enhancements
Structural Changes for HTML5 Output
The structure in HTML5 output has changed slightly for this release to support the Central Account Element enhancements.
In earlier releases, the Central Account element was represented using a div with style class central-dropdown
for Side Navigation, Top Navigation, and Tripane HTML5 output. This div is still included in the output for in this release. However, it is now wrapped inside a new div with class central-account-wrapper
. This new div is now the main container for the Central Account element for private output hosted on MadCap Central. Just like previous Flare releases, this element will not be visible in HTML5 output until it is made a private output while hosted on MadCap Central.
-
For Side Navigation output, the Central Account element was previously under the
nav-search-wrapper
div. In Flare 2020 r3, it is now moved up a level to be a child of the header div with classtitle-bar-layout outer-row
in the web layout. The Central Account element has not moved for tablet and mobile layouts; it is wrapped in a div with classcentral-account-wrapper
, and is included in themenu-icon-container
div. -
For Top Navigation output, the Central Account element was previously added to the navigation-wrapper div. In Flare 2020 r3, it is now moved up one level to be a child of the header div with class
title-bar-layout outer-row
. The Central Account element has not moved for tablet and mobile layouts; it is wrapped in a div with classcentral-account-wrapper
, and is included in themenu-icon-container
div. -
For Tripane output, the Central Account element has not moved. The new container div with class
central-account-wrapper
is included in thesearch-account-container
div in web layout and included in theresponsiveHeader
div in tablet and mobile layouts.
The Central Account component, created in the output when a Central Account proxy is used, also had a small structural change. In previous releases, the Central Account component was contained in a div with class central-dropdown-proxy
. In Flare 2020 r3, this div is now wrapped in a new div with class central-dropdown-proxy-wrapper
.
Also in this release, the header for both Side Navigation and Top Navigation HTML5 output has improved for accessibility with the addition of the banner role attribute. The Top Navigation menu now has an attribute to signify a navigation role.
Note: Please note that with the above changes, there might be slight changes in the position of the Central Account element when an output is rebuilt with the new release. Please reach out to our technical support team for guidance of any adjustments needed if there are undesirable changes in your output.
